This working group aims to increase cities’ awareness of internet security threats to contribute to the development of a society that can efficiently tackle cyber threats, promote local policy development in the field of cyber security and share expertise between cities
The working group was formed in 2013 on the initiative of Tallinn.
It will lead on our cyber security agenda to deliver an information society for all.
Objectives:

raising cities’ awareness of cyber security threats,

highlight the need for secure IT systems - not just for functioning and data protection but also for gaining citizens’ trust
-
sharing best practice
-
ensuring that the city perspective is taken into account in future EU policy
-
providing networking opportunities for potential future projects
The working group will produce a collection of best practice solutions from different cities across Europe and publish recommendations in response to relevant EU policy on cyber security.
