This working group focuses on how city identity, branding and marketing can reinforce strategic plans for growth and prosperity by attracting investment, business, people and tourists


  • developing a shared understanding of city branding and attractiveness

  • sharing experiences and good practices on how to improve city identity and attractiveness, going beyond the economic-focused view of attractiveness to include culture, sport, tourism, creativity, events, quality of life, etc.

  • sharing best practices in brand management

  • developing networking between cities in fields of specific interest such as tourism, convention, economic development, and foreign direct investment agencies
