The AFE-INNOVNET thematic network on innovation for age-friendly environments launched a Covenant on Demographic Change on 7 December at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.
Speaking at a conference on the following days, 8-9 December, Anne Berit Rafoss from the city of Oslo, chair of our working group on urban ageing, stressed the role of EUROCITIES and our working group on urban ageing in providing the local perspective to the process of achieving an age-friendly Europe.
Through the new Covenant on Demographic Change, local, regional and national authorities, civil society organisations, universities, and businesses will commit to cooperate and implement evidence-based solutions that support active and healthy ageing.
