The 'Do the Right Mix' awareness raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility has been granted the official COP 21 label.

The label reflects the institutional support of the French government in the framework of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 21), taking place in Paris on 30 November to 11 December.

Ségolène Royal, French minister for ecology, sustainable development and energy, chairs the committee responsible for awarding the labels to worthy projects and initiatives.

The Do the Right Mix campaign, whose annual milestone is EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, received the label thanks to the quality of its action programme and the awareness raised in society. More than 1,800 local authorities from 45 countries participated in this year's EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK on 16-22 September, culminating in a car-free day. With its potential reach of 170 million people, the campaign is expanding its scope throughout the year by encouraging local authorities and other organisations to register their sustainable MOBILITYACTIONS. These actions aim to show daily commuters that the most sustainable way to travel from A to B in urban areas is only possible if we 'Do the Right Mix'.

The campaign is a European Commission initiative that launched in 2002. The European coordination is led by EUROCITIES.
