The Committee of the Regions organises the 13th European Week of Regions and Cities on 12-15 October, including an 'urban day' on 14 October.

The 13th European Week of Regions and Cities ('OPEN DAYS') takes place this year on 12-15 October. The headline theme is 'Europe's regions and cities: partners for investment and growth' and will include three subthemes:

  • 'Modernising Europe': the regions in the Energy Union and the single digital market
  • 'Regions open for business': SME development, innovation, and job creation
  • 'Places and spaces': urban and rural development; urban-rural integration

This year's OPEN DAYS will include an 'OPEN Urban DAY' on 14 October. This will take place in various buildings in the Brussels canal area, and is a collaboration between the European Commission's DG Regional and Urban Policy, the Committee of the Regions and Brussels Capital Region.
