The Council of Europe Development Bank launches Prize for Social Cohesion

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) - a multilateral development bank with an exclusively social mandate - is launching a new, annual competition in order to acknowledge and reward remarkable contributions to social cohesion.

The CEB will award a total amount of € 25,000 to an innovative and effective project that addresses urgent social issues and makes a significant contribution to social cohesion. The winner of the award will be recognised at a ceremony during the CEB annual joint meeting in Dublin 2 July.

Individuals and small organisations from CEB member countries are eligible for nomination. The beneficiaries and impact of the initiative or project must also be in a CEB country. Projects in early stages of implementation and advanced project ideas will also be eligible, as long as they have an impact in a CEB country.

The assessment of social cohesion will consider impact, sustainability and innovation/replicability.

Applications can be submitted until 20 April. The winner will be announced in June.
