Following the cancellation of other major European events and after numerous internal discussions regarding the ongoing situation concerning the coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the forum meeting in Porto and Guimaraes due to take place 18-20 March. By taking this decision, we hope to play our part in preventing the spread of the virus across Europe and to limit any pressure on members to travel in uncertain circumstances.
We are are delighted to announce that we will be meeting in Porto and Guimaraes later this year! Please save-the-date for 7-9 October for discussions on all things green from nature-based solutions to the European Green Deal. We'll have a revised agenda ready for you soon.
In the meantime, join us online!
We'd like to hear from you on a range of issues, from air to noise pollution, climate change to a circular economy and all things biodiversity! We invite you to join us online for a series of interactive, informative and timely meetings. You can expect lively discussions covering the European Green Deal and relevant policy updates (we want to hear from you!), and those all-important network updates (including news ways of working at EUROCITIES and how you can feature in the upcoming “Beyond 100 Days” campaign). Our series of webinars will be divided by working groups and relevant policy areas, meaning we will hold 4 online discussions all together (we regreet that due to external pressures on our members, the WG water webinar has been cancelled). Webinars will take place between Wednesday 18th March and Friday 20th March, in line with our planned forum meeting. Please find below a draft programme agenda and below the timings for each:
WG AQCCEE: Wednesday 18 March @ 10.00 – 12.20
WG GAB: Wednesday 18 March @ 14.00 – 15.45
WG Waste: Thursday 19th March @ 10.00-11.30
WG Noise: Thursday 19th March @ 14.00 - 16.30
Steering Committee: Friday 20th March @ 14.00 – 16.00
How can you join?

We will email the links to the EEF and WG mailing lists on Tuesday 17 March (the meetings will be held through Skype for Business; you do not need to own this to access the webinar, simply click on the link). Please see below for a simple guide detailing how to connect [note we will be recording these webinars, for internal purposes only].
How can you prepare?
Be prepared to get involved! We’ve prepared some handy briefing notes for you, all available below. These outline the context for discussions concerning policy updates in each of the working groups, especially those related to the European Green Deal and include some key questions to be discussed. Please bring your questions and feedback; we’ll use these webinars to hear from you and help steer our actions on relevant issues.
