Join us on Wednesday 10 of June, starting from 15.30 (CEST) for our City Dialogue on ‘The long-term impact of COVID19 in the urban mobility context.'

About this Event:

This city dialogue is a good opportunity for urban mobility experts to share their views on the long-term implications of COVID19 outbreak at local level in the mobility context.

How will mobility in cities change? How will the public transport sector manage the economic impact of the crisis and restore confidence in the use of mass transit? What does the EU recovery plan mean for cities and what type of support is available for urban mobility?

Together with experts from UITP (The International Organisation for Public Transport) we will look at the economic impact of the crisis on public transport operators and the steps that could be considered to address the current financial challenges. EUROCITIES will present the European Commission recovery plan and the new Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027. Finally, we will hear from one European city about their vision for post-COVID mobility and how to tackle the long term-impact of the crisis .

The presentations will be followed by an interactive discussion (with a series of polls) with the aim of gathering cities views on the current challenges and needs as well as on the recovery plans currently being roll-out in cities.
