EU lawmakers agree on new safety measures for cars, vans, buses and trucks

25,300 people lost their lives on European roads in 2017 and a further 135,000 were seriously injured, with nearly 40% of these on the streets of our cities and urban areas. Many of these incidents involve cyclists and pedestrians and are avoidable.

Toulouse: a city in action for seniors

Toulouse, the fourth largest city in France, is increasing its population by 30,000 inhabitants each year. 12.8% of this population are seniors (more than 65 years old), making this group a real focus for mobility policies. The municipality of Toulouse learned, however, that senior citizens do not enjoy the full range of mobility services, perhaps due to their own lack of mobility or the loneliness of this age group.
