Leeds Digital Festival (LDF), the largest tech and digital event in the UK, is back this September. The Festival is an open, collaborative event celebrating digital culture in all its forms over a two-week period each year. This year’s rescheduled festival will take place from 21st September to 2nd October 2020.

Survey on cities' digital policies and initiatives in Europe

To gain a better understanding of cities’ digital agendas for the coming years, the city of Barcelona has launched an online survey. The goal is to map digital policy priorities and identify common topics for cities to join efforts. Share your city’s vision by filling in the survey! The analysed results will be presented during an open session during our yearly Knowledge Society Forum in September.

Highlights from our WG Children meeting online - cities united to mitigate COVID-19 impact on children

From the disruption of their schooling to their social skills and mental health and well-being, the pandemic has had a strong impact on children and young people. Home-schooling has deepened the inequalities in education and training. Child poverty is increasing in cities and the poorest are the hardest hit. These are some of the conclusions from the recent WG Children meeting held online on 10 July 2020.
