Vienna adopts ambitious strategy for children and youth
Vienna's first children and youth strategy was adopted on 28 May 2020. The strategy aims to make Vienna the most child and youth-friendly city. Among other things, it will anchor a children's and youth budget of 1 million EUR for 2021 as well as a children's and youth parliament.

Lyon- Let there be light! Cultural heritage and light management
Lyon has for a long time an outstanding relationship with light as an urban issue and tool. The city of Lyon realised in the early 1990s that it could amplify its cultural and heritage offer by working with the medium that brings that culture to people, and since then Lyon has been at the forefront of cities experimenting with light. Light has changed the image of the city, increased its attractiveness and transformed its nocturnal landscape over the years.

Antwerp - The Big Link
In 2016 Antwerp introduced innovative governance methods to overcome public opposition to a ring road extension project. The resulting co-created plan to cover over the road not only resolves citizens’ main objection by reducing pollution from the motorway. It also creates new green spaces for communities and a more cohesive and connected city.

Dresden’s arts centre
Dresden has converted an abandoned power station into a vibrant cultural centre on time, on budget and to great acclaim with the help of a cooperative approach and structured dialogue process. The project has achieved its objective of giving two municipal theatres a city-centre home and catalysed the revitalisation of the district.
